Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoAFW) on July 15, 2026, amends Schedule of Insecticides Act, 1968 to add new insecticide entries.

The Central Government has issued a notification under the Insecticides Act, 1968, exercising its powers to amend the Schedule of the Act. Based on consultation with the concerned Board, the amendment introduces new entries under the “Common Name” category in the Schedule.

Specifically, the new insecticide entries are inserted after the existing entry of “Flumethrin”, along with corresponding details. This amendment expands the list of recognized insecticides under the Act, thereby bringing the newly added substances within the regulatory framework governing manufacture, sale, and use.

The amendment comes into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette, ensuring immediate applicability.
