Industry Specific ComplianceThe Government of Maharashtra on July 22, 2026, issued a circular regarding the implementation of the Unique Infrastructure ID (Infra ID) Portal for PWD Projects.

The following has been stated: -

•This circular issued by the Public Works Department (PWD) of Maharashtra mandates generating a Unique Infrastructure ID (MHUID) for all public infrastructure development projects.

•Obtaining a MHUID is obligatory prior to granting administrative approval and releasing payments for ongoing or completed works.

•A special campaign must be conducted by September 30, 2026, to register all infrastructure projects approved, ongoing, or completed since April 01, 2021.

•Additionally, infrastructure details prior to April 01, 2021, must be systematically updated on the Maharashtra Asset Register (Mahasampatti) portal, with Superintending Engineers submitting progress reports.
