Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on July 23, 2026, issued a circular regarding the re-triggering of E-ASM on Turmeric Contracts.

The following has been stated: -

•NCDEX has re-triggered an Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% on all running and upcoming Turmeric contracts following a 15% price movement over 10 days. 

•The additional margin will remain applicable until August 13, 2026.

•No E-ASM has been triggered for other listed commodities such as Barley, Castor Seed, Coriander, Guar Gum, Guar Seed, and Jeera. 

•All other applicable margins will continue to be levied as per existing Exchange norms.
