The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on July 23, 2026, notified regarding the renewal process for Registration of Investment Advisers (IAs).
The following has been stated:
• The exchange has issued the renewal fee payment process for SEBI-registered Investment Advisers (IAs) in accordance with the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013. Every IA is required to renew its registration every five years by paying the prescribed renewal fees within three months before the expiry of the registration validity. The SEBI renewal fee is ₹1,000 for Individuals and Partnership Firms and ₹5,000 for Body Corporates and LLPs (plus applicable taxes).
• Additionally, as BSE Limited has been recognized as the Investment Advisers Administration and Supervisory Body (IAASB), IAs shall also pay a BSE renewal fee of ₹9,000 for Individuals and Partnership Firms and ₹4,95,000 for Body Corporates and LLPs (plus applicable taxes). The renewal process requires IAs to first pay the BSE renewal fee, after which the SEBI renewal fee challan will be generated for payment to SEBI.
• The Exchange has advised IAs to complete both payments well before the registration expiry date, as delays in BSE fee payment will delay SEBI challan generation, and failure to pay the SEBI renewal fee within the prescribed timeline may result in non-renewal or cancellation of registration.
• Further, renewal requests submitted after the expiry of the registration validity will not be considered, irrespective of the reason for the delay.
