Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on July 24, 2026, issued circular on Scheme of deposit for acceptance of Commodities as Additional Base Capital.

Pursuant to SEBI and NCCL circulars on commodity derivatives and risk management, the Clearing Corporation has revised the list of eligible commodities accepted as collateral along with applicable haircuts. Notably, Guar Korma (GUARKORMA) has been newly included and will be accepted through pledge/re-pledge via NERL.

All commodities accepted as collateral must meet the same quality specifications as those deliverable under the relevant commodity derivatives contracts. The revised list and deposit scheme will come into effect from the beginning of the trading day on July 27, 2026.
