Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) on July 24, 2026, issued a circular regarding settlement of Mutual Fund Transactions placed on the “NCDEX Nidhi” Platform.

The following has been stated:-

•National Commodity Clearing Limited (NCCL) has issued guidelines for the clearing and settlement of mutual fund transactions executed through the "NCDEX Nidhi" platform, in line with SEBI's Master Circular and the platform's launch.

•Initially, the platform will support transactions in non-demat (physical folio) mutual fund units, with separate guidelines for demat mode to be issued later.

•The circular prescribes detailed procedures for subscription, redemption, settlement schedules, fund cut-off timings, payment modes, refunds, and unit allotment.

NCCL has also specified timelines for fund transfers, compensation for delays attributable to NCCL, and responsibilities of participants to ensure accurate client and banking details.

•The clearing corporation clarified that it acts only as a facilitator for settlement and is not liable for NAV determination, unit allotment, redemption, or other obligations that remain the responsibility of the respective Asset Management Companies (AMCs).
