The Ministry of Textiles on July 24, 2026, issued a notification regarding the maximum Ex-Factory Price Fixed for 580 gm Type-A & Type-B Jute Bags – July 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Deputy Jute Commissioner has finally fixed the maximum ex-factory price of 580 gm Type-A and Type-B B-Twill sacking jute bags at ₹2,21,102 per MT or ₹12,823.92 per 100 bags for July 2026.
•The notified prices apply to Type-A and Type-B bags of prescribed BIS specifications (IS: 16186:2014) to be bought and sold during July 2026.
•All bags must carry the prescribed emblem, the manufacturing mill's name, BIS certification marking, and meet the required minimum breaking strength.
•The notified ex-factory prices are exclusive of GST, which shall be payable separately by the purchaser as per applicable law.
