Secretarial ComplianceThe Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) on July 27, 2026, issued the Monthly Bulletin (July 2026).

The following has been stated: -

•The SEBI Monthly Bulletin (July 2026) reports a strong recovery in Indian capital market activity for June 2026, with primary market fund mobilization surging 92% month-on-month to ₹1,38,548 crore.

•This uptick was primarily driven by private placements and debt issuances, which accounted for 74% of the total raised funds. In the secondary market, benchmark equity indices recorded modest gains with the Sensex rising 2.3% and Nifty 50 gaining 1.4% backed by strong domestic institutional buying that counterbalanced persistent selling by foreign portfolio investors.

•While Foreign Portfolio Investors (FPIs) pulled out ₹49,340 crore from equities, they redirected a record ₹55,518 crore into the debt segment, helping propel total demat accounts across the country to 25.7 crore.

•Mutual fund Assets Under Management (AUM) expanded 10.5% year-on-year to reach ₹82.2 lakh crore, supported by net equity inflows despite overall debt scheme redemptions.

•Globally, economic growth experienced a minor slowdown to 3.0% as markets navigated supply disruptions in the Middle East alongside positive technology momentum driven by artificial intelligence.
