The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on July 27, 2026, issued notification regarding the Harmonisation introduced of Schedule-II (Export Policy), ITC (HS) 2022 with vide Finance Act, 2026.
The Central Government has amended Schedule-II (Export Policy) of ITC (HS) 2022 in line with the provisions of the Finance Act, 2026, by exercising powers under the Foreign Trade (Development & Regulation) Act, 1992 and the Foreign Trade Policy 2023. These amendments include changes to Section Notes, Chapter-wise Notes, and Supplementary Notes.
Further, updates have been made to ITC (HS) codes, including introduction, deletion, amendment, splitting, and merging of various codes as detailed in the annexures. The revised ITC (HS) classification will be made available on the DGFT website.
These amendments have come into force with immediate effect and are applicable to the export policy framework accordingly.
