The International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA), at its 29th Authority Meeting held on July 24, 2026, approved a series of regulatory reforms aimed at strengthening GIFT IFSC's financial ecosystem.
The following has been stated:
The key decisions include amendments to the Capital Market Intermediaries Regulations, 2025 for withdrawal of credit ratings, approval of the Prohibition of Market Abuse in Securities Markets Regulations, 2026, and amendments to the Fund Management Regulations, 2025 to promote ease of doing business, enhance investor protection, and improve regulatory clarity.
The Authority also approved a framework for differential distribution in Venture Capital and Restricted Schemes to facilitate blended finance, notified the Electronic Trading Platform Regulations, 2026, and approved revamped International Branch Campuses Regulations, 2026 to strengthen the regulatory framework, protect students, and enhance GIFT IFSC's attractiveness for foreign higher educational institutions.
