Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEITY) has extended the implementation date for the compulsory registration requirement applicable to Television Sets under the Electronics and Information Technology Goods (Requirements for Compulsory Registration) Order, 2021. The requirement, introduced through S.O. 1929(E) dated April 26, 2023 for compliance with IS 18112:2022, was originally scheduled to come into effect on July 26, 2026. The implementation deadline has now been extended to January 26, 2027.
