The BSE Limited (BSE), on July 30, 2026, announced a mock trading session in the Equity segment to be held on August 1, 2026, in preparation for the implementation of the Closing Auction Session (CAS), which will go live from August 3, 2026. The mock session will enable members to test the revised trading framework, including CAS functionality, various call auction sessions, block deals, trading halts, and exceptional market conditions.
The Exchange has advised members to use the updated scrip master file generated on July 31, 2026, and the new BOLT Pro TWS Version 13.30 for both the mock session and live trading. The mock will also support the revised NFCAST market data format (Version 6.2) and continue the use of MDI/EMDI API Version 1.4.5. Additionally, the closing reference price for CAS-eligible securities will be determined based on the VWAP of trades executed between 3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
BSE has clarified that trades executed during the mock session will not attract any margin, pay-in/pay-out obligations, or create any rights and liabilities. Members are encouraged to actively participate, test their trading applications, and submit feedback to ensure operational readiness before the live rollout of the CAS framework.
