The BSE Limited (BSE), on July 30, 2026, announced a mock trading session in the Equity Derivatives segment to be held on August 1, 2026, in preparation for the implementation of the Closing Auction Session (CAS), which will become effective from August 3, 2026. The mock session will allow members to test the revised trading framework, including risk-reduction mode, trading halts, and CAS-related changes in the derivatives segment.
The mock session will include pre-open, continuous trading, and trade modification phases, with the stock futures price bands being updated from 3:15 p.m. to align with the Closing Auction Session in the Equity segment. Members have also been informed that the new BOLT Pro TWS Version 13.30 will be released for use during the mock session and subsequent live trading.
BSE has clarified that trades executed during the mock session will not attract any margin, pay-in/pay-out obligations, or create any rights and liabilities. Members are encouraged to actively participate, test their trading applications, and submit feedback to ensure operational readiness before the live implementation of the revised trading framework.
