The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the 28th edition of its annual publication, “Handbook of Statistics on the Indian Economy, 2025–26 (HBS)”, which serves as a comprehensive source of time-series data on the Indian economy. The Handbook provides detailed statistical tables covering key macroeconomic and financial indicators such as national income, prices, money supply, banking, financial markets, public finances, foreign trade, balance of payments, and select socio-economic indicators.
In this edition, along with the regular update of existing data series, four new statistical tables have been introduced to enhance the scope and depth of information. The publication aims to support research, policy analysis, and informed decision-making by offering reliable and structured economic data.
The data from the Handbook, along with other RBI publications, is accessible through the Database on Indian Economy (DBIE) portal and the RBIDATA mobile application, ensuring wider and convenient access. The RBI has also invited feedback and suggestions from users, which can be submitted via post, email, or through the feedback mechanism available on the DBIE portal.
