The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, has fixed the retail prices of six scheduled drug formulations under the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013. The notified prices, exclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST), have been fixed under the powers conferred by paragraphs 5, 11, and 15 of the DPCO, 2013, and are applicable to the specified formulations, strengths, manufacturers, and marketing companies.
The order covers Atorvastatin + Clopidogrel + Aspirin Capsules (10 mg/75 mg/75 mg and 20 mg/75 mg/75 mg), Clonazepam + Paroxetine Controlled Release Tablets (0.5 mg/12.5 mg and 0.5 mg/25 mg), and Desvenlafaxine Extended Release + Clonazepam Tablets (50 mg/0.5 mg and 100 mg/0.5 mg). The retail prices fixed by NPPA range from ₹6.37 to ₹20.06 per unit, depending on the formulation and strength.
Manufacturers and marketing companies are required to comply with the notified retail prices while marketing these formulations. The prices are exclusive of GST, which may be added only where applicable.
