Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) on July 13, 2026, notified regarding the compulsory Registration of Cold Storage facilities created under the Cold Chain scheme with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA).

The Ministry has directed that all cold storage facilities established under the Integrated Cold Chain & Value Addition Infrastructure (Cold Chain) Scheme of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana (PMKSY) shall be compulsorily registered with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA). Project proponents are required to obtain WDRA registration for their cold storage facilities and submit a copy of the WDRA Registration Certificate to the Ministry via email after registration to ensure compliance with this requirement.
