Industry Specific ComplianceThe International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) on August 03, 2026, issued FAQs on the International Financial Services Centres Authority (Fund Management) Regulations, 2025.

The following has been stated:

• The FAQs explain the registration framework for Authorised FMEs, Registered FMEs (Non-Retail) and Registered FMEs (Retail), their eligibility criteria, net worth requirements, governance, staffing, infrastructure and permitted fund management activities. They also provide operational guidance on the establishment and management of Venture Capital Schemes, Angel Funds, Restricted Schemes, Retail Schemes, Special Situation Funds, Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs), ESG Schemes, Portfolio Management Services, Investment Trusts, Family Investment Funds and Third-Party Fund Management Services, including investment limits, corpus requirements, leverage, valuation, NAV computation, investor eligibility, filing procedures and disclosure requirements. 

• The FAQs further clarify provisions relating to listing, sovereign wealth funds, Indian diaspora investments, accredited investors, fees, compliance obligations and governance, while reiterating that the FAQs are intended only to provide guidance and that the IFSCA (Fund Management) Regulations, 2025, related Acts, Rules, Regulations and Circulars will prevail in case of any inconsistency.
