The Rural Development Department, Govt. of Nagaland on June 23, 2026, issued the Nagaland Viksit Bharat—Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB-G RAM G] Scheme, 2026.
The following has been stated:
• The Scheme establishes the institutional and operational framework for providing guaranteed rural wage employment, livelihood enhancement, and sustainable rural asset creation. It lays down provisions relating to the registration of eligible rural households, the issuance of job cards, the submission of employment applications, the allocation of work, wage payments, the unemployment allowance, where applicable, the planning and execution of permissible works, social audits, transparency, grievance redressal, monitoring, record maintenance, and financial management.
• It also defines the roles and responsibilities of the State Government, District Programme Coordinators, Programme Officers, Gram Panchayats and other implementing agencies for effective implementation of the Scheme.
• The notification aims to ensure timely employment opportunities, strengthen rural livelihoods, improve accountability through technology-enabled monitoring and social audits, and facilitate the creation of durable community assets in accordance with the objectives of the VB-G RAM G Act, 2025.
• The provisions of the Scheme shall come into force with effect from July 01, 2026.
