Secretarial ComplianceThe National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) on August 06, 2026, issued circular on Re-triggering of E-ASM on Turmeric Contracts.

NCDEX has re-triggered an Event-based Additional Surveillance Margin (E-ASM) of 2.5% on Turmeric contracts due to significant price volatility based on high–low variation criteria. This margin will apply to all running and upcoming Turmeric contracts until August 26, 2026.

The trigger was activated on August 5, 2026, while no such action has been taken for other commodities like barley, castor seed, coriander, guar, or jeera. All existing margins will continue as applicable alongside E-ASM.
