Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) on August 06, 2026, issued a circular regarding an amendment to the existing “Policy on Evaluation of Client Claims against the Defaulter/ Expelled Member”.

The following has been stated: -

•MCX has proposed amendments to the Policy on Evaluation of Client Claims against Defaulter/Expelled Members.

•Eligible claims include those for non-receipt of margins, credit balances, commodities, or settlement funds, subject to verification and prescribed conditions.

•Claims relating to unregistered portfolio management/other services and speculative transactions or unauthorised return schemes will be excluded.

•Members/constituents may submit comments on the proposed amendments by August 27, 2026.
