BSE Clearing Introduces Shorter Tenure Contracts under Securities Lending & Borrowing (SLB) Scheme

Industry Specific ComplianceThe BSE Clearing Limited has announced the introduction of shorter-tenure Securities Lending & Borrowing (SLB) contracts with effect from Transaction Day, August 17, 2026.

The following has been stated:

• Contracts will be introduced under the “D” series with the SBIN20AUG26D-MCF prefix and will be generated daily.

• The first leg will be settled on T+1, while the corresponding reverse leg will be settled on T+3, excluding Settlement Holidays.

• The contracts will be available only for stocks eligible for trading in the Equity Derivatives Segment.

• Such contracts will not be foreclosed in the event of an AGM/EGM.

• Repay, Recall and Rollover facilities will not be applicable to these contracts.

• All other provisions relating to market timings, clearing and settlement, risk management, corporate actions and other applicable processes will continue to remain governed by the existing SLB provisions.

• The EOD security file dated August 14, 2026 will include the “D” series-MCF prefix.

Action: All Participants and Custodians are requested to take note of the above and make the necessary operational arrangements accordingly.
