The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (MoFAHD) on August 11, 2026, issued the notification regarding the Draft Prevention and Control of Infectious and Contagious Diseases in Animals Rules, 2026.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The procedure to report of animals infective of scheduled disease has been stated in the Draft.
• The procedure to report of administration of vaccination and vaccinated animals has been stated in the Draft.
• The Disposal of carcass of animal infected with scheduled disease has been stated in the Draft.
Objections and suggestions to these draft rules may be sent to the Additional Secretary to Government of India, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying or on email [email protected] within thirty days.
