The National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) on August 10, 2026, issued the Application Form for Medical Testing Laboratories under arrangements as Operational & Supporting Entities.
The following has been stated:
• The application form is intended to facilitate laboratories in submitting the required information and documentation for assessment under the applicable NABL framework. It captures details relating to the medical testing laboratory, scope of testing, organisational and technical information, personnel, facilities, equipment, quality management systems and other relevant accreditation requirements.
• Laboratories seeking to operate under the specified Operational & Supporting Entity arrangement are required to provide the prescribed particulars and supporting documents through the application process, enabling NABL to evaluate their conformity with the applicable requirements before granting the relevant recognition/accreditation.
• The issuance of the form therefore standardises the application process for medical testing laboratories and provides a structured mechanism for NABL to assess their technical competence, quality systems and operational capability under the applicable arrangement.
