Industry Specific ComplianceThe Ministry of Defence (MoD) on July 30, 2026, issued the Draft of the Jutogh Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026.

The following has been stated: -

•Chapter 1 provides standard regulatory definitions for structural and urban planning terms, including access, accessory buildings, alterations, apartments, ceiling height, basements, and barrier-free access for persons with disabilities.

•The draft Jutogh Cantonment Building Bye-Laws, 2026 lays down rules for construction, alteration, repair and development of buildings within Jutogh Cantonment.

•It prescribes requirements relating to building plans, permissions, setbacks, height, coverage, floor area and structural safety.

•The Bye-Laws aim to regulate land use and ensure planned and orderly development within the Cantonment area.

•They also specify standards for sanitation, ventilation, parking, fire safety and other essential building services.

•The framework seeks to ensure safe, sustainable and compliant construction while protecting the planned character of the Cantonment.

The draft invites public objections or suggestions, which can be submitted in writing or via email to the Cantonment Board, Jutogh, within 30 days from August 22, 2026.
