The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on August 03, 2026, issued a circular regarding categorisation of Industrial Sectors by CPCB.
The following has been stated: -
•The Kerala State Pollution Control Board has formally adopted the revised industrial sector categorisations issued by the CPCB and MoEF&CC.
•The updated classifications apply to Hotels/Motels/Resorts, Restaurants/Dhaba/Eateries, Standalone Banquet/Marriage Halls, Waste Battery Collection Centres, and Non-leather footwear manufacturing.
•Consent applications will now be processed under these newly adopted criteria, superseding previous KSPCB circulars governing hotels, restaurants, and auditoriums.
