The Government of Gujarat on August 27, 2026, issued a notification regarding Mandatory Online Registration of Establishments under the OSH&WC Code, 2020.
The following has been stated: -
•All factories, construction sites, industrial, and commercial establishments employing 10 or more workers must mandatorily register online under Section 3 of the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020.
•Registration is conducted through the official Shram Setu portal, which was made operational on August 25, 2026.
•New establishments are required to apply in Form-1 within 60 days, while existing registered establishments must update their registration within 180 days.
•The registration certificate must be prominently displayed at the main site of the establishment, either physically or digitally.
•Failure to comply or providing false information will attract a monetary penalty ranging from ₹2,00,000 to ₹3,00,000 under Section 94 of the Code.
