EHS Compliance The Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs on August 25, 2026, issued the Delhi Fire Service (Amendment) Act, 2026 to further amend the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007.

The following amendments have been stated:

• In the Delhi Fire Service Act, 2007 (Delhi Act 2 of 2009), in section 2, in clause (i), for the words “building bye-laws/National Building Code of India”, the words “building bye-laws” shall be substituted”.

It shall come into force on such date as the Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint.
