Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on August 28, 2026, notified regarding the Increase in Number of Partitions from 12 to 14 in Equity Derivatives Segment.

BSE has informed Trading Members that the number of partitions in the Equity Derivatives segment will increase from 14 to 16, effective September 07, 2026. The additional partitions, 15 and 16, will be used for newly created products and for moving certain existing products. Updated partition assignments will be reflected in the EQD_CODDMMYY.csv master file.

Compliance/Technical Impact: Members using ETI-based applications must update systems to query all 16 partitions for order/trade retransmission and related messages. The number of partitions is also communicated through the NoOfPartition (1770) field in the ETI Session Logon Response. Members must also update EOBI/EMDI applications, as product movements will affect partition-wise multicast market-data streams.

Testing: Partitions 15 and 16 are available in the Simulation environment from August 2026, and a mock session is scheduled for September 05, 2026 to test the new partition configuration.
