EHS ComplianceThe Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC) on August 27, 2026, based on the request of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), has extended the deadline for filing annual returns by producers and recyclers under the Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) framework for Used Oil for FY 2025-26. The extension was granted due to operational and technical difficulties faced in compiling and reconciling compliance data on the centralized EPR Portal.

Accordingly, producers and recyclers may now file their Annual Return/Report for FY 2025-26 up to November 30, 2026, instead of the earlier deadline of June 30, 2026. The extension has been issued under Rule 30 (5) of the Hazardous and Other Wastes (Management and Transboundary Movement) Amendment Rules, 2024.
