EHS ComplianceThe Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) on August 28, 2026, has prescribed the documents and corrective actions required for consideration of resumption of operations by entities against which closure directions have been issued. For industrial units, an affidavit undertaking in Annexure-A is required confirming that corrective and preventive measures have been taken and that CAQM directions and applicable statutes will be complied with. Depending on the violation, entities must also submit supporting documents evidencing rectification, valid Consent to Establish (CTE)/Consent to Operate (CTO), and compliance relating to DG-set usage, pollution-control equipment and emission standards.

For Construction & Demolition (C&D) projects, an affidavit undertaking in Annexure-B, along with supporting evidence of rectification, is required. Where DG-set violations are also involved, the undertaking and supporting documents must address both C&D and DG-set violations. For commercial units other than industries and C&D projects found using DG sets in violation of CAQM directions, an affidavit in Annexure-C and documents confirming corrective action are required for consideration of resumption.
