Commercial ComplianceThe Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) on August 31, 2026, notified regarding the Automated Issuance of Free Sale and Commerce Certificates (FSC).

It has introduced automated issuance of Free Sale and Commerce (FSC) Certificates on its portal under Paragraph 2.34 of the Handbook of Procedures (HBP). Eligible applications will now be processed automatically through a rule-based, system-driven and risk-based workflow, replacing the existing manual verification process by Regional Authorities (RAs). Applications requiring verification or not satisfying the prescribed parameters will continue to be referred to the concerned RA for manual processing, while certain auto-approved applications may subsequently be flagged for review under the risk-management system.
