The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on September 01, 2026, amended an older Notification No. 08/2026-Central Excise, dated March 26, 2026, related to Special Additional Excise Duty on Export of Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF).
The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government has amended Notification No. 08/2026-Central Excise dated March 26, 2026 under Section 5A of the Central Excise Act, 1944.
•Against Serial No. 1, the existing entry in Column (4) has been substituted with “Rs. 19 per litre.”
•Accordingly, the applicable Central Excise duty is revised to ₹19 per litre for the specified goods covered under the notification.
This notification shall come into force on September 01, 2026.
