The Department of Law, Justice and Legislative Affairs on August 25, 2026, issued the Delhi Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Repeal) Act, 2026.
This act issued to repeal the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Incredible India) Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2007.
The National Capital Territory of Delhi (Incredible India) Bed and Breakfast Establishments (Registration and Regulation) Act, 2007, along with its amendments of 2010 and 2021, has been repealed.
However, registrations, certificates, orders, approvals, proceedings and other actions taken under the repealed Acts will continue to remain valid and will be deemed to have been taken under the corresponding provisions of the new Act, provided they are not inconsistent with it. Existing rights, privileges, obligations and liabilities are also preserved.
Any ongoing investigations, legal proceedings or remedies relating to matters under the repealed Acts may continue as if the Acts had not been repealed. Section 6 of the General Clauses Act, 1897 will apply to the repeal.
