The Department of Housing & Urban Development, Punjab, on September 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding utilization of EDC under the Punjab Higher Education Investment Policy, 2026.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Punjab has notified that 100% of the External Development Charges (EDC) collected from institutions under the Punjab Higher Education Investment Policy, 2026 shall be utilized for development of the area where the institution is established.
•The notification is issued pursuant to the Policy notified vide No. PIU/IBDP-2026/Sectoral Policies/907 dated March 08, 2026.
