The University Grants Commission (UGC) on August 31, 2026, issued a notification regarding the invitation of applications for ODL and Online Programmes for the Academic Year 2026-27.
The following has been stated: -
•UGC has invited fresh online applications from eligible Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) for recognition to offer programmes through Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and/or Online mode for the academic year 2026-27 and sessions beginning January–February 2027 onwards.
•The online application window is September 01–15, 2026, with submission of original affidavit and annexures by September 25, 2026; submission of an application does not itself constitute approval.
