The Paradip Port Authority (PPA) on September 01, 2026, streamlined the Iron Ore Shipment from Mechanical and Manual Plots.
The PPA, through Resolution No. 63/2026-27 dated August 27, 2026, has streamlined iron ore shipment arrangements. Iron ore stored in mechanical iron ore plots allotted to exporters shall be shipped through the IOB, while cargo from manual iron ore plots must be shipped through the GCB. However, where either berth is vacant and no vessel is ready to berth, PPA may permit movement of cargo between mechanical and manual plots for shipment through the available berth, provided the exporter has been allotted both mechanical and manual iron ore plots.
