The Government of Punjab on August 31, 2026, has notified that, under the Punjab Tourism & Hospitality Policy 2026, eligible projects falling under the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) category, which have been issued an eligibility certificate by the Competent Authority, will receive 100% exemption from Change of Land Use (CLU) and External Development Charges (EDC) under the Punjab Regional Town Planning and Development Act, 1995.
The exemption is subject to compliance with other applicable requirements, including the siting guidelines prescribed by the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Government of Punjab.
