The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) on September 04, 2026, issued a notification regarding a fraudulent website impersonating IRDAI.
The following has been stated: -
•IRDAI has warned that igmsirdai. online is not an official IRDAI website and advised the public not to share personal, policy, financial, KYC, or OTP details or make payments through it.
•Policyholders should use only the official Bima Bharosa portal for registering or tracking insurance grievances.
•The public is advised to verify IRDAI-related websites and remain cautious of fraudulent communications misusing IRDAI’s identity.
•Those who have already shared information through the suspected website should take necessary precautions and report the matter to appropriate cybercrime/law-enforcement authorities.
