The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) on September 01, 2026, issued a notification regarding the date of Establishment of the amendment and the Date till which the standard without the amendment shall remain in force for the Indian Standards such as Glossary of Textile Terms — Natural Fibres.
The following has been stated: -
•IS 232:2020 Glossary of Textile Terms — Natural Fibres (Third Revision)
•IS 1417:2016 Gold and Gold Alloys, Jewellery/ Artefacts — Fineness and Marking — Specification (Fourth Revision)
•IS 6674:2021 Textiles — Cotton Webbing for Use in Packing Aero Engines — Specification (First Revision)
The date of establishment is August 21, 2026, and the date till which the standard, without the amendment as mentioned, shall remain in force is February 20, 2027.
