The Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) on September 07, 2026, issued a notification regarding the introduction of a new transaction status in the DP89 Report.
The following has been stated: -
•CDSL has enhanced the DP89 Report to introduce new transaction statuses for Invocation (Confiscation) for Early Pay-in and Pledge Release (Unpledge) for Early Pay-in transactions.
•Currently, these transactions are shown as “F” (Failed) while awaiting obligation matching.
•After the enhancement, a separate status will be reported during the pending obligation-matching stage, while the final status will continue to follow the existing system logic after matching.
•DPs and Clearing Members are required to make necessary changes to their back-office systems. The enhancement will be effective from September 18, 2026, EOD.
