The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) on September 09, 2026, issued a notification regarding the designation of authority under the Income-tax Act, 2025.
The following has been stated: -
•The Central Government has specified the Secretary, ITE&C, Government of Andhra Pradesh under Section 258(1)(b) of the Income-tax Act, 2025.
•The designated authority may receive shared information regarding income-tax payers for identifying eligible beneficiaries under welfare schemes implemented by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
