Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) has introduced comprehensive enhancements to the field-level validations for creation and modification of Unique Client Code (UCC) data. The objective is to strengthen the accuracy and quality of client information uploaded by members into the Exchange’s UCC database.

Members are required to test and validate their systems before implementation of the enhanced validations in the production environment. Revised file formats have been provided for New Bulk Upload, Bulk Modification, TDD-UCI External Interface (UAT-V2.2) and TDD-UCI External Interface (LIVE-V2.2). Members may conduct UAT through the prescribed Member Portal and API interfaces and have been advised to use the Bulk Modification File only for fields that actually require modification.

The enhanced validations will go live from October 9, 2026, at End of Day. Members are required to complete the necessary system changes and testing before the go-live date to ensure successful UCC creation and modification. The circular is issued by the Investor Services Cell and provides [email protected] for queries.
