The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA) on September 10, 2026, determined the retail price of the formulation Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride IP equivalent to Moxifloxacin 0.5% w/v + Benzalkonium Chloride Solution IP 0.02% w/v (as preservative) for M/s Skymap Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. (Manufacturer) and M/s Wellgen Medicare LLP (Marketer) under Paragraph 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013). The computation is based on January 2026 market data.
The price calculation considered various brands of Moxifloxacin 0.5% eye drops, including Mahaflox, Moxigram, Milflox and Occumox. The qualifying products include those having market share of 1% or more, while products below the applicable market-share threshold have been marked “N”. Based on the considered market data, the worked-out retail price is ₹35.37, excluding GST, and the proposed retail price is ₹35.37, excluding GST.
Accordingly, the proposed retail price for the specified Moxifloxacin eye-drop formulation is ₹35.37 excluding GST, as calculated under Paragraph 5 of DPCO, 2013. The matter concerns pharmaceutical price regulation and compliance by the specified manufacturer and marketer with the retail price determined by NPPA.
