The Government of Assam on August 27, 2026, has published a draft of the Assam Industrial Relations Code Rules under Section 99 of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, proposing to replace and cancel the earlier draft rules published on November 17, 2021. The draft notification has been issued for public consultation, and all persons likely to be affected may submit their objections or suggestions.
The draft rules will be considered by the Government after expiry of 30 days from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. Objections or suggestions may be submitted within this period to the Senior-Most Secretary, Labour Welfare Department, Government of Assam, or through the specified email address.
