The Government of Meghalaya on September 07, 2026, issued notification on Assistance to Taxpayers for E-Filing of GST Returns and Grievance Redressal through the State GST Portal.
The Government of Meghalaya, in furtherance of its Ease of Doing Business initiatives, has partially modified the existing arrangements for GST Facilitation Centres and the GST Helpline. The Facilitation Centres and GST Helpline shall assist taxpayers in e-filing returns under the Meghalaya Goods and Services Tax Act.
The Government has also directed that grievances arising during the e-filing of GST returns be captured through the State GST Portal. A real-time dashboard displaying the status of grievance resolution shall be published on the official website of the Taxation Department. The revised provisions take immediate effect, while all other provisions of the earlier 2021 Order and 2024 Notification remain unchanged and continue in force.
