The Office of the Labour Commissioner, Madhya Pradesh, Indore, on September 02, 2026, has published the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the period from April to June 2026 for different categories of workers and centres.
The published indices cover industrial workers for the centres of Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Chhindwara, under various base years including 1960=100, 1982=100, 2001=100 and 2016=100. It also provides the All-India Consumer Price Index for agricultural workers, with indices based on 1960=100, 1986-87=100 and the new 2019=100 series.
The notification further notes that, pursuant to the Labour Bureau's detailed note dated July 18, 2025, the base year for the agricultural labourers' CPI was revised from 1986-87=100 to 2019=100, with the new series commencing from May 2025.
