The Government of Tamil Nadu on, September 15, 2026, enacted the Tamil Nadu Town and Country Planning (Amendment) Act, 2026, which received the Governor’s assent on September 12, 2026. The amendment revises the composition of the Urban Planning Area Authority under Section 9-F.
