The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) on September 19, 2026, issued a circular regarding Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign 2C.26 - Participation by Higher Education Institutions.
The following has been stated: -
•AICTE has requested all approved Higher Education Institutions to actively participate in the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026 Campaign from September 17 to October 02, 2026.
•Institutions are encouraged to conduct cleanliness drives, waste segregation, awareness programmes, recycling activities and community initiatives.
•Special activities include “Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath” cleanliness drives on October 01 and Swachh Bharat Diwas activities on October 02.
•Institutions should collaborate with local bodies, NGOs and other stakeholders and document/report activities as prescribed.
