The Directorate General of Trade Remedies (DGTR) on September 15, 2026, issued a notification regarding Sunset Review Investigation concerning imports of “Sodium Hydrosulphite” originating in or exported from China PR.
The following has been stated: -
•DGTR has initiated a sunset review of anti-dumping duty on imports of Sodium Hydrosulphite originating in or exported from China PR.
•The existing duty, imposed in December 2021 on imports from China PR and Korea RP, is due to expire on December 16, 2026.
•The review was initiated based on an application by Silox India Pvt. Ltd. alleging likelihood of continuation or recurrence of dumping and injury.
•The review is restricted to China PR, as imports from Korea RP ceased during the injury period and no likelihood of recurrence was indicated.
•The review was initiated vide Notification No. 7/10/2026-DGTR dated March 20, 2026, under Section 9A(5) of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975 and Rule 23 of the Anti-Dumping Rules.
