The National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), under the Department of Pharmaceuticals, has determined the retail price under Paragraph 5 of the Drugs (Prices Control) Order, 2013 (DPCO, 2013) for “Each uncoated tablet contains: Methylprednisolone IP 4 mg”, manufactured by M/s Foregen Healthcare Limited and marketed by M/s Zorvia Healthcare Limited. The retail price has been computed based on August 2025 market data.
The worked-out retail price is ₹5.30 per tablet, excluding GST. The calculation is based on market data for companies having 1% or more market share, including the relevant Moving Annual Turnover (MAT), Price to Retailer (PTR) and pack data. A 16% retailer margin has been added for determining the applicable retail price, with local taxes to be charged as applicable.
The price determination relates to File No. 19(5089)/2026/DP/NPPA/Div.II, with the associated record bearing I/15300/2026. The determination has been made under Paragraph 5 of DPCO, 2013 for the specified Methylprednisolone formulation.
